Pitt-Johnstown Falls on Senior Night

5917The Pitt-Johnstown women's soccer team fell 5-0 to the No. 15 ranked Bloomsburg Huskies Saturday Prior to the match, Head Coach Vito Addalli and the Pitt-Johnstown women's soccer program recognized this year's seniors…Leigh Appolonia, Kaitlyn Eckley, Cara Finoli, Rachel Fleming, Sam Roberts, Claudia Torrillo, and Athena Velazquez. The Mountain Cats fell to 5-11-0 overall and 4-10-0 in the PSAC. Bloomsburg improved to 12-2-1 and 11-2-1 in conference.
 
Natalie Holmes scored the first goal in the match in the 10th minute; Holmes caused a turnover and found the back of the net.
 
Lauren Hoelke found Jessica Milligan in the 21st minute to make it, 2-0. In the Second Half, Bloomsburg got goals from Hoelke, Taylor Sneidman and Sam Rodkey.
 
Appolonia took the loss in net and was relieved by Maria Mosquera in the 74th minute. The two combined to face 30 shots, make 10 saves and allow five goals.
 
Jenna Hawkins earned the shutout win in net for Bloomsburg.
 
The Mountain Cats return to action Wednesday when they take on Edinboro University at home.
