
Slippery Rock used a strong second half push to defeat the Pitt-Johnstown men's soccer team, 4-0, Wednesday afternoon. The Rock's offense exploded for four second-half goals. Slippery Rock improved to 4-5-2 on the season and 2-2-1 overall. The Mountain Cats fell to 2-8-0 on the season and 0-5-0 in conference.

Slippery Rock's, George Oakley scored the game's first goal on a penalty kick in the 62 minute. Alexander Vilchek added two goals to extend Slippery Rock's lead. Vilchek's first goal game in the 65
th minute on an assist from Omar Bangura. Vilchek's second goal of the game came in the 72
nd minute assisted by Luke Picchi.

Josh Zakrzewski took the loss in net for the Mountain Cats. Zakrzewski faced 23 shots, made seven saves and allowed four goals.
Jonathan Reboton relieved Zakrzewski in the 76
th minute and made two saves.

Matt Hunsber earned the shutout win, in net, for Slippery Rock. Hunsberger made three saves on the day.

The Mountain Cats return to action Saturday to take on Shippensburg university at the Pitt-Johnstown soccer field.
