
The Pitt-Johnstown women's soccer team dropped a home-conference match against the Shippensburg raiders, 4-2, Saturday afternoon. The Pitt-Johnstown Mountain Cats fell to 4-8-0 on the season and 4-7-0 in conference. Shippensburg improved to 6-5-0 overall and 5-5-0 in conference.

After a Shipensburgh Izzy Weigel goal,
Emily Esser tied it up at one on an assist from
Abby LaDuke. Moment's later, Weigel score her second goal of the game in the 25
th minute. Esser responded to tie it up at two in the 60
th minute when LaDuke assisted her second goal.

Taylor Moore pushed Shippensburg ahead in the 62 minute when she scored off a rebound to make it, 3-2.

Leigh Appolonia took the loss in net for the Mountain Cats and was relieved in the 78
th minute by
Maria Mosquera. The two combined, faced 18 shots, make eight saves and allowed four goals.

Delaney Shifflett earned the win in net for Shippensburg. Shifflett faced nine shots, made five saves and allowed two goals.

The Mountain Cats return to action Friday when they take on East Stroudsburg at the Pitt-Johnstown soccer field.
