Pitt-Johnstown senior outside hitter Maura Brehl, also a First-Team All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) selection, was named 2018 Division II Conference's Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) Second-Team All-Atlantic Region Volleyball as voted on by the region's Sports Information Directors on Wednesday.
 
Brehl, a native of York, Pa. and a graduate of Suburban York High School 2018 First-Team All-PSAC earned four consecutive PSAC Central Division Athlete of the Week honors in 2018 on her way to leading Pitt-Johnstown team in kills per set (3.68), kills (430), points (482.5), points per set (4.12), and digs (369).  Brehl also finished third on team in blocking with 11 solo blocks, 45 block assists, and 56 total blocks.
 
Nationally, Brehl, who earned four consecutive PSAC Central Player of the Week honors in 2018, ranks 30^th nationally in total kills, 59^th in kills per set, and 67^th in points per set.
 
In 2016, Brehl was tabbed Third-Team PSAC Central, and in 2015, she earned PSAC East Freshman of the Year honors.
 
Wheeling Jesuit (WV) University's Haley Kramer was named the 2018 Atlantic Region Player of the Year.
 
The Division II Conference Commissioners Association encourages and promotes Division II athletics and high standards of sportsmanship as important elements of higher education. The CCA is a key communications link among the conferences as they discuss views, policies and regulations that impact Division II intercollegiate athletics and works closely with the NCAA as a communications channel to NCAA Division II member colleges and universities.
