Pitt-Johnstown forward John Paul Kromka was named the PSAC Western Division Men's Basketball Freshman of the Week on Monday after scoring 17 points and pulling gown eight rebounds in Saturday's 115-83 Mountain Cat victory over Penn State-Fayette.

Kromka, a native of Monroeville and a graduate of Gateway High School, scored 17 points on 7-of-9 shooting from the floor and 3-3 shooting from the free-throw line  He also collected game-highs of eight rebounds and three blocks, while dishing out three assists and making one steal.
