The 11^th-ranked Pitt-Johnstown wrestlers took advantage of five falls, including three straight from Cody Law, Devin Austin, and Steve Edwards, in a lopsided 39-9 PSAC victory at Shippensburg on Tuesday.   The win set up a PSAC Dual Meet Championship Match against undefeated Mercyhurst, Friday night in the Sports Center.  Pitt-Johnstown made it six straight wins and improved to 11-3 overall and 6-0 in the conference.
 
Brendan Howard got the Mountain Cats started with a 15-10 decision over David Reagan at 125 lbs., and Sam Holandez won by forfeit at 133 lbs. to make it 9-0.
 
At 141 lbs., Pitt-Johnstown increased it to 15-0 when fourth-ranked Chris Eddins pinned Jared Leonetti at 2:00.
 
Shippensburg got on the scoreboard with a 16-11 decision by Cody Blankenship over Corey Falleroni at 149 lbs., but second-ranked  Law pinned Brady Mentzer at 2:22, and Austin won by fall at 5:34 over Abner Thompson to break it open and make it 27-3 at the midway point of the match.
 
After the Mountain Cats increased it to 33-3 with Edwards' fall at 6:40 over Ryan Narber, the Raiders answered with two straight wins.  Alexi Castro won a 7-3 decision over Alex Delp at 184 lbs., and in the match of the night, third-ranked Evan Ramos held of Levi Niebauer, 3-2, at 197 lbs. to cut it to 33-9.
 
However, D.J. Sims pinned Derek Berberick in just 1:58 to record Pitt-Johnstown's fifth fall of the night and set the final at 39-9.
 
With the loss, Shippensburg fell to 6-8 overall and 1-5 in the PSAC.
 
Pitt-Johnstown will close out the regular season and celebrate Senior Night against Mercyhurst in the 2018 PSAC Dual Meet Title Match, Friday at 7 p.m. in the Sports Center, before hosting the 2017-18 NCAA Super Region I Tournament on February 23 -24.
