
The Pitt-Johnstown baseball team dropped a double header against Shippensburg University Saturday afternoon in Shippensburg. The Mountain Cats fell to 3-10 and the Shippensburg Red Raiders improved to 9-7.

Game 1
 The Mountain Cats dropped game one 18-6. Pitt-Johnstown opened up a 3-0 lead in the first inning thanks to a Cam Gerhard RBI single and a
Zach Zinn 2-RBI single. The Red Raiders answered in the bottom of the frame when Tommy Baggett reached on a fielders choice that allowed Dalton Hoiles to score. They added a second run when Drew Bean singled to center field

The Red Raiders broke it open in the third inning when they scored 10 runs in the frame to make it 15-3. The Mountain Cats scored three runs in the top of the seventh,
Dylan Conrad grounded out to second base,
Matt Lamanti had an RBI single followed by a
Nemo Trexler RBI single.

Ben Foose took the loss for the Mountain Cats. Foose pitched two innings giving up six-earned runs on seven hits. Zach Sims improved to 4-1 on the young season. Sims finished the day with five-innings pitched giving up one earned runs on three hits and also striking out five.

In game two, The Mountain Cats fell 4-0 to the Shippensburg Red Raiders. Cash Gladfelter got Shippensburg on the board in the sixth inning when ge singled through the right-side scoring Hoover. Shippensburg added two more runs after a throwing error, Tommy Baggett singled brining home Hoiles followed by a Jack Goertzen RBI single.

Brady Walker took the loss for the Mountain Cats. Walker tossed five innings for the Mountain Cats, giving up one run on three hits and striking out four. Gabe Mosser threw a complete-game, no hitter while striking out ten Mountain Cats and walking one.

Pitt-Johnstown is scheduled to have their home opener against  Lock Haven University Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Point Stadium, before the Indiana (PA) Crimson Hawks in their conference opener March 23
