
The Pitt-Johnstown Mountain Cats dropped two games against Slippery Rock Saturday afternoon at the Point Stadium. The Mountain Cats lost game one, 7-3 and game two, 8-7 in walk-off fashion. The Mountain Cats fell to 6-19 overall and 3-9 in the PSAC West. Slippery Rock improved to 17-7 and 10-2 in the PSAC West.

GAME ONE
Â
The Mountain Cats got on the board in the second inning when
Tanner Cook reached on a throwing error allowing
Mason Prickett to score. They made it, 2-0 when
Tyler Smith walked with the bases loaded, scoring
Dan Clark.

After Slippery Rock scored a run in the bottom of the second inning, Clark singled to right field scoring
Scott Thompson. Slippery Rock tied it at three in the bottom of the third when Chris Porterfield reached on an error allowing Ray Scala and Kyle Wise to score.

In the bottom of the fifth inning, Joe Campagna hit a grand slam to left-center field to give Slippery Rock the 7-3 lead.

Dylan Heid got the start and took the loss for the Mountain Cats falling to 1-3 on the season. Heid pitched 4.2 innings, giving up seven runs, zero earned on three hits and striking out four.

Chris Anastas earned the win for Slippery Rock improving to 4-0 on the season. Anastas pitched six innings, giving up three runs, one earned on four hits and striking out three.

GAME TWO
Â
Tyler Walters got Slippery Rock on the board in the bottom of the first when he hit a two-run homerun to left-center field.

Pitt-Johnstown made it 3-2 in the second inning thanks to a
Ben Foose sacrifice fly,
Scott Lucas then reached on a fielder's choice and
Nemo Trexler doubled down the right-field line.

In the fourth inning Pitt Johnstown extended their lead, 7-2, thanks to a
Tyler Smith two-RBI single.
Â
In the bottom of the fourth inning, Frankie Jezioro hit a solo homerun to left-center field. In the fifth inning, Porterfield and Campagna hit solo homeruns to make it, 7-5.

Abraham Mow doubled to center field to tie it at seven in the bottom of the seventh inning. Mitchell Wood walked it off for Slippery Rock when he singled up the middle to score Mow.

Joel Colledge got the start and took the no decision for the Mountain Cats. He pitched four innings, giving up five-earned runs on six hits.
Raymond Watt took the loss in relief, Watt threw 2.1 innings, giving up three-earned runs on three hits and striking out two.

The Mountain Cats are scheduled travel to Erie Friday afternoon to take on Gannon University, before finishing their series Saturday against Gannon at Point Stadium.
