
The Pitt-Johnstown Mountain Cats women's soccer team dropped its season-opener and PSAC-opener, 3-2, in extra time to Indiana University (PA), Wednesday afternoon at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field.

th minute when Hannah Stoof found the back of the net that was set up by Carley Donia.

Emily Pennell scored an unassisted goal in the 40
th minute.
Brooke Vollmer gave the Mountain Cats the 2-1 lead in the 74
th minute that was assisted by
Kaitlyn Eckley.

Leigh Appolonia took the loss for the Mountain Cats. Appolonia faced 20 shots, made seven saves and allowed three goals.

Madeline Smakulski earned the win for the Crimson Hawks. Smakulski allowed two goals and also made one save.

Pitt-Johnstown travels to PSAC matches at Mansfield on Saturday and California (Pa.) on Wednesday, before returning home to host a conference match against Millersville on September 8 at 1 p.m. at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field.
