
The Pitt-Johnstown Mountain Cats women's soccer team defeated Mansfield University 2-1, on the road, in extra time Saturday afternoon to even their record at 1-1-0 overall and 1-1-0 in the PSAC. The Mountain Cats wrapped it up one minuted into overtime when
Kaitlyn Eckley scored on a free kick from 25 yards out. The victory also gave Head Coach
Vito Addalli his first career win.
Alexis Bittel got Mansfield University on the scoreboard 15 minutes into the match when she found the back of the net, assisted by Bria Bittiger.
Eckley scored her first of two goals in the 43
rd minute on a free kick from 20 yards out to knot it at one, before giving Pitt-Johnstown the win one minute into

the extra period.
Leigh Appolonia earned the win in net for Pitt-Johnstown. Appolonia gave up one goal and made eight saves for the Mountain Cats.
Stephanie Moir took the loss in relief of Rachel Fox for Mansfield. Moir made five saves and allowed one goal.
The Mountain Cats travel to a PSAC match at California University )PA) on Wednesday, before hosting a conference match against Millersville University on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field.
