
The Pitt-Johnstown Mountain Cats men's soccer team dropped their season opener on the road to Wheeling (W.Va.) Jesuit University, 3-0, on Saturday. The Mountain Cats fell to 0-1-0 and the Cardinals improved to 1-0-0.

Martin Minuzzi stuck first for the cardinals on a free kick from 17-yards away. In the 37
th minute, Alvardo Garrido made it, 2-0, on a penalty kick.

In the second half, Teavon Spencer scored the Cardinals final goal that was assisted by Pedro Crespo.

Jonathan Reboton took the loss for the Mountain Cats in net. Roboton gave up three goals and made 16 saves for the Mountain Cats.

Jonathan Bosmyr earned the win for Wheeling (W.Va) Jesuit in net, pitching the shutout.

The Mountain Cats return to action Tuesday when they take on Carlow University at Highmark Stadium in Pittsburgh, before making their 2018 home debut against Penn State-New Kensington on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field.
