Clay Cottman gave the Pitt-Johnstown men's soccer team a 1-0 lead six minutes into the match, and
D.J. Vogelman added a penalty kick in the 85
th minute to lift the Mountain Cats to a 2-0 non-conference victory over Carlow University, Tuesday night at Highmark Field in Pittsburgh. Pitt-Johnstown evened its record at 1-1.
Cottman's header off of a cross from Vogelman in the early going put the Mountain Cats in front 1-0.

The score remained the same the remainder of the first half and nearly the entire second half. However, with just five minutes left, Vogelman finished a penalty kick that made it 2-0 and put it out of reach for the Mountain Cats.
Jonathan Reboton earned the shutout and his first win at in goal at Pitt-Johnstown. Adam Myers surrendered both goals and took the loss for Carlow, which slipped to 1-1-0 to begin the year.
Pitt-Johnstown will make its 2018 home debut with a non-conference match against Penn State-New Kensington on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer, before opening PSAC-play at Gannon on Wednesday, September 12.
