
Lock Haven University made a pair of first half goals stand up in a 2-0 PSAC victory over the Pitt-Johnstown women's soccer team, Saturday evening in Lock Haven. The Mountain Cats slipped to 3-3-0 overall and 3-3-0 in conference-play.
Lock Haven opened the scoring in the 27
th minute when Marah Fultz finished Ella Jones' cross into the box.
Four minutes later, Josie Swartz found the back of the net to give the Bald Eagles a 2-0 halftime advantage.
Bree Hilty did the rest in goal for Lock Haven to record the shutout. Hilty faced five shots from the Mountain Cats and made one save.
Leigh Appolonia took the loss in net for Pitt-Johnstown after seeing 19 Bald Eagle shots, making eight saves, and allowing both goals.
With the win, Lock Haven improved to 3-2-0 overall and 3-2-0 in the PSAC.
Pitt-Johnstown will host a non-conference match against Wheeling Jesuit (WV) University on Monday at 12:00 p.m. at Richland High School, before traveling to nationally-ranked West Chester University for a PSAC match on Friday.
