The seventh-ranked Pitt-Johnstown wrestlers took advantage of four falls and a pair of forfeit wins to shut out Queens University of Charlotte, 51-0, to kick-off the 2019 Kutztown University Duals on Friday.
 
After Brendan Howard won a 7-2 decision over Melvin Rubio at 125 lbs., Matt Siszka (133 lbs.) and third-ranked Joey Alessandro (141 lbs.) both won by forfeit to give the Mountain Cats a 15-0 lead to start.
 
Top-ranked Chris Eddins pinned Jude Lloyd at 1:21 at 141 lbs., before Corey Falleroni pinned Micah Marcin just over two minutes into the opening period to increase the lead to 27-0.
 
At 165 lbs., Gage Thomas won a 15-0 technical fall at 3:15 over Stephon Halliburton in the 174-lb. bout, and Brock Biddle held off Noah Curreri, 7-4, at 184 lbs.
 
Pitt-Johnstown closed out the lopsided victory with a 15-4 major decision win by Alex Delp at 197 lbs. and a fall from Tyler Oliver over Ben Austin at 1:02 at 285 lbs.
 
With the loss, Queens fell to 0-9.
 
Pitt-Johnstown closes out the Kutztown Duals with matches against #19 LIU-Post and #9 UNC-Pembroke, before traveling to a PSAC match at Gannon on Wednesday.  The Mountain Cats will then host a conference match against Seton Hill on January 25 at 7 p.m. in the Sports Center.
