Third-ranked Joey Alessandro knocked-off the No.1-ranked wrestler in the country at 141 lbs. and guided the seventh-ranked Mountain Cats to a 34-6 victory over LIU-Post to close out the 2019 Kutztown Duals, Friday night.  Pitt-Johnstown improved to 13-3 on the season.
 
Back-to-back major decision victories by Brendan Howard and Matt Siszka gave Pitt-Johnstown an early 8-0 advantage and set up the match-up between Alessandro and top-ranked Joe Calderone at 141 lbs.  Alessandro went on to shut out Calderone, 4-0 with a point for riding time to keep Pitt-Johnstown rolling.

No. 1-ranked Chris Eddins scored a 14-0 major decision over Daniel Espiniera at 149 lbs., and Corey Falleroni won by forfeit at 157 lbs.
 
The Mountain Cats pushed it out to 24-0 with Gage Thomas' 4-4 win over Kenny cooper at 165 lbs., before LIU-Post got on the scoreboard when Steve Edwards was forced to injury default two minutes into the bout at 174 lbs.

However, Brock Biddle won a 12-2 major decision at 184 lbs. over James Langan, Pitt-Johnstown wrapped-it up with decision wins from Alex Delp at 197 lbs. and Tyler Oliver at 285 lbs.
 
With the loss, LIU-Post dropped to 6-9 on the season.
 
Pitt-Johnstown travels to a PSAC match at Gannon on Wednesday, before hosting a conference match against Seton Hill on January 25 at 7 p.m. in the Sports Center.
