
Vanessa Coccurello's scored 40 seconds into overtime to give Gannon a 3-2 PSAC victory over the Pitt-Johnstown soccer team, Saturday afternoon at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer field. With the loss, the Mountain Cats fell to 4-7-0 overall and 3-6-0 in the PSAC.
The Golden Knights jumped out to an early 1-0 lead on Kayla Bevacqua's blast from 40 yards out, but Pitt-Johnstown answered to tie it in the 35

It remained tied until the 77
th minute when the team exchanged a pair of goals over a six-minute span. Gannon retook the lead on Emily Cekall's shot from the top of the box that found the back of the net, before Esser took a deflection and beat Golden Knights' goalkeeper Kennedy Solymosi to knot it at two and force overtime.

However, less than a minute into the extra period, Coccurello found an opening in the Mountain Cat zone and scored to give the Golden Knights the 3-2 victory.
Pitt-Johnstown's
Maria Mosquera faced 25 Gannon shots and made five saves. Salymosi saw seven Mountain Cat shots and made three saves.
With the win, the Golden Knights improved to 5-4-1 overall and 4-4-1 in the PSAC.
Pitt-Johnstown travels to PSAC matches at Slippery Rock on Wednesday and Clarion on Saturday, before returning home to host a conference match against Seton Hill on October 23 at 4 p.m.
