
Pitt-Johnstown got second half goals from
Evan Ulrich and
Chase Kuhn to erase a one goal halftime deficit on its way to earning its first PSAC victory of the season with a 2-1 win at Slippery Rock on Wednesday. The Mountain Cats improved to 2-7-1 overall and 1-3-1 in conference-play.
Slippery Rock got off to a quick start and opened-up a 1-0 lead just over 11 minutes into the match on an Alejandro Fernandez goal.
The Rock held that lead until Pitt-Johnstown tied it eight minutes in the second half when Ulrich finished an assist from
Josh Briscoe.

The Mountain Cats then got a goal from Kuhn in the 67
th minutes off of Briscoe's second assist of the match that put Pitt-Johnstown in front, 2-1.
That's all Mountain Cat goalkeeper
Jonathan Reboton would need. Reboton faced 26 shots from Slippery Rock, and made a career-high 15 saves, including two in the final minute, to preserve the victory.
Slippery Rock goalkeeper Matt Hunsberger saw 13 Pitt-Johnstown shots and made four saves.

With the loss, The Rock dropped to 4-5-2 overall and 1-2-0 in the PSAC.
SCHEDULE NOTE: Tuesday's non-conference match at Carlow has been cancelled. A make-up date has not been announced.
The Mountain Cats will be back in action with a PSAC match at Mercyhurst on October 26 at 1 p.m. Pitt-Johnstown will play its next home match on November 2 when California (PA) comes to Johnstown for a conference match.
