A pair of goals from Hady Harr helped the Lakers jump out to a 3-1 lead 34 minutes into the match, before Ahmed finished a rebound off of Mercyhurst goalkeeper Martin Jarc in the 39th minute to get the Mountain Cats back to within two.
However, Mercyhurst exploded for eight second half goals to close out the 11-1 victory.
The Lakers improved to 6-4-2 overall and 3-2-1 in the PSAC West.
Pitt-Johnstown travels to a PSAC match at eighth-ranked Gannon on Wednesday, before hosting a conference match against California (PA) on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field.
