Noelle Carota had a match-high 14 kills, four service aces, and 11 digs to lead a group of four Pitt-Johnstown players who finished with double digit kills in a 3-sets-to-1 PSAC victory at Lock Haven Saturday afternoon. The Mountain Cats made it three straight wins and improved to 10-8 overall and 3-6 in conference-play.
Pitt-Johnstown defeated Bald Eagles 25-14, 20-25, 25-12, and 25-12.
Along with Carota,
Caitlin Vrabel had 13 kills and two blocks, while
Anna Johns and
Lauren Gechter each had 11 kills for Pitt-Johnstown. In addition,
Jaden Gray tallied 5 kills and seven digs.
The Mountain Cats got a match-high 51 set assists from
J.C. Longeville, and
Erin Carmody and
Gabi DeRenzo collected 15 and 12 digs, respectively for the Mountain Cats.
Breanna McDonald's 10 kills paced Lock Haven, which fell to 6-14 overall and 0-10 in the PSAC.
Pitt-Johnstown travels to a non-conference match at Point Park on Tuesday, before returning home to host PSAC matches against California (PA) on Friday at 7 p.m. and Seton Hill on Saturday at 1 p.m.
