Danielle Lippl's goal 22 minutes into the second half proved to be the lone goal and lifted the Pitt-Johnstown women's soccer team to a 1-0 PSAC victory at Indiana (PA) on Wednesday. Pitt-Johnstown, which swept the 2-match season series against the Crimson Hawks, improved to 5-11-0 overall and 4-11-0 in the PSAC Western Division.
Following a scoreless first half, Lippl finished a scramble off of a Pitt-Johnstown corner kick in the 67
th minute to account for the only goal of the match.
Maria Mosquera secured the shutout in net for the Mountain Cats after facing 11 IUP shots and making eight saves.
Madeline Smakulski faced seven Pitt-Johnstown shots and made a pair of saves for the Crimson Hawks, who slipped to 9-6-0 overall and 7-6-0 in the PSAC West.
Pitt-Johnstown returns home to celebrate Senior Day with a PSAC match against California (PA) on Saturday at noon, before closing out the 2019 season with a home conference match against Edinboro on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
