Justin Haupt and the Pitt-Johnstown volleyball team will host PSAC rival Mercyhurst on Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Sports Center to begin a stretch of three home matches in three days. Pitt-Johnstown will also host Edinboro on Friday at 7 p.m., before celebrating Senior Day against Gannon on Saturday at 1 p.m.

Pitt-Johnstown split a pair of matches last weekend and comes in at 12-11 overall and 4-9 in the PSAC Southwest Division. On Friday,
Noelle Carota had a match-high 17 kills and
Tatiana Pitcher added 11 kills, but Clarion rallied for three straight win to defeat Pitt-Johnstown 3-sets-to-1. The Mountain Cats bounced back with a 25-20, 25-17, 25-23 sweep at Slippery Rock on Saturday. Carota added 12 more kills and
Anna Johns chipped in 10 kills.

Mercyhurst, 14-11 overall and 6-8 in the PSAC Northwest Division under 16
th-year Coach Ryan Patton, also split two conference matches last weekend. On Friday, the Lakers earned a five-set home win over California (PA) behind Katie Baird's 17 kills and Alyssa Zirnheld's 14 kills, before being swept by Seton Hill, 25-20, 25-22, 25-21, on Saturday. Baird had 13 kills and Zirnheld collected 10 kills against the Griffins.

Pitt-Johnstown has won the last four meetings against Mercyhurst, including a 3-sets-to-1 victory in Erie on October 20, 2018.Â
Maura Brehl finished with a match-high 22 kills and had 12 kills to lead the Mountain Cats, while Baird had 20 kills and Shelby Chesko collected 15 kills to pace the Lakers.
