Lennox Pugh each added three RBI to lead the Pitt-Johnstown baseball team to a 20-8 victory in Friday's season-opener in Myrtle Beach, S.C. The Mountain Cats completed the sweep with a 1-0 victory in the nightcap behind
Brady Walker's six scoreless innings on the mound.
In game one, Shirk double, tripled and drove in four, Zinn doubled, homered and drove in three, and Pugh chipped-in four hits, including a pair of doubles and three RBI, in the 20-8 win.
Tyler Smith and
Ben Foose both homered and drove in two, while
Dylan Kerstetter doubled twice and had two RBI.

Eric Ford got the win in relief of starter
Dylan Heid. Ford pitched the final 3 2/3 innings and allowed three runs on four hits.
In the nightcap, Pugh's RBI double provided the game's lone run and lifted Pitt-Johnstown to the 1-0 win.
Colin Pasone also doubled for the Mountain Cats.
Walker pitched six strong innings and held West Virginia Wesleyan scoreless on two hits to earn the victory. Foose earned the save after striking two in the seventh inning.
The Mountain Cats wrap-up the four-game series against West Virginia Wesleyan in Myrtle Beach with a doubleheader on Saturday, before traveling to Mooresville, NC next weekend for a four-game series against Fairmont State (WV).
