
Hillsdale (MI) College scored a pair of runs in the top of the seventh inning to secure a 2-0 victory over Pitt-Johnstown in the Mountain Cats' season-opener in Clermont, Fla. on Sunday
Ashley Shor had two hits for Pitt-Johnstown.
Along with Shor,
Morgan Cannin and
Bree Ginther each had base hits for the Mountain Cats.
Kristen Coffay took the loss after allowing the two runs in the seventh inning. Coffay pitched a complete-game, struck out two and allowed just one walk.
Pitt-Johnstown continues its Spring Trip in Florida with games against Notre Dame (OH) and Kutztown on Monday and New York Institute of Technology and Winona State (Minn.) on Thursday.
