Lauren Gohacki's two-run single in the top of the seventh inning broke a 1-1 tie and led Pitt-Johnstown to a 2-1 victory over Notre Dame College (OH), Monday afternoon in Clermont, Fla.
Jade Stubblefield went 3-for-3 for the Mountain Cats, who picked up their first win of the season and improved to 1-2.
Notre Dame manufactured a run in the bottom of the second off of
Alyssa Hileman with a single, a sacrifice bunt and an RBI ground out.
It remained 1-0 until the top of the seventh when Pitt-Johnstown struck for a pair runs that lifted the Mountain Cats to the win.
Bree Ginther led off with a single, then beat the throw to second on
Ashley Shor's fielder choice ground ball.
Morgan Cannin walked to load the bases and Gohacki's single plated Ginther and Shor.

Stubblefield had three hits, and Gohacki drove in the eventual game-winning runs with her single. Ginther had a hit and scored a run, while
Kristie Radvan and
Hailei Markee each added base hits for Pitt-Johnstown.
Hileman went on to keep Notre Dame (OH) off the scoreboard in the bottom of the seventh to preserve the 2-1 victory.
Hileman picked up her first win after holding Notre Dame (OH) to one run, while fanning four.
Pitt-Johnstown continues its Spring Trip in Florida with games against New York Institute of Technology and Winona State (Minn.) on Thursday and Ferris State (MI) and Saint Thomas Aquinas on Friday.
