Pitt-Johnstown junior forward Gabrielle Smith was named First-Team All-PSAC West Women's Basketball, and fellow junior forward Alli McGrath earned a spot on the second team when this year's conference awards, voted on by the leagues coaches, were announced on Thursday.
 
Smith paced Pitt-Johnstown in scoring (19.4 ppg.), rebounding (7.1 rpg.), and steals (36) on her way to leading the Mountain Cats to their first spot in the PSAC Tournament since the 2013-14 season.
 
Nationally, Smith ranks second in both free-throws made (225) and free-throws attempted (283) and 23^rd in scoring.
 
Smith, a native of Darlington, Pa. and a graduate of Quigley Catholic High School, will enter her senior season ranked 30^th on the Pitt-Johnstown All-Time Scoring List with 1,076 points.  Smith 41 points shy of tying Kelsey Sleighter (2011-15) for 29^th-place on the scoring list.
 
McGrath was selected to the All-PSAC West Second-Team in her first season after transferring to Pitt-Johnstown from Division I University of Maryland-Baltimore County.  McGrath was the Mountain Cats' second-leading scorer and currently ranks 64^th in the country in scoring at 17.3 points per game.  Her 65 3-pointers led the team, while 35 steals were second, and her 5.3 rebounds per game and 21 blocked shots both ranked third on the team.
 
California (PA's) Seairra Barrett was named the PSAC West Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year, while Millersville's Lauren Lister was tabbed the Eastern Division Player of the year and East Stroudsburg's Jordan Hertz was tabbed the East's Defensive Player of the Year.

In addition, Tori Obenrader from Gannon and Aunbrielle Green from Shippensburg garnered the West and East's Freshman of the Year honors.
 
IUP's Tom McConnell and Bloomsburg's Allison Tagliaferri were awarded their respective division's PSAC Coach of the Year accolades.
