Owen McKeever's two-run single with two outs in the bottom of the seventh capped a four-run rally and gave Pitt-Johnstown a 4-3 walk-off victory over Slippery Rock in Saturday's first game of a PSAC Western Division doubleheader at Point Stadium. The Mountain Cats completed the sweep and improved to 19-13 overall and 7-7 in conference-play with a 9-2 win in the nightcap behind
Braxton Roxby six strong inning on the mound.
With the two victories, Head Coach
Todd Williams, already the "winningest" baseball coach in Pitt-Johnstown history, moved to with two wins of 500 for his career.
In game one, Pitt-Johnstown
Dylan Heid and Slippery Rock's Wyatt Daugherty locked up in a scoreless pitcher's duel for 5 and 2/3 innings until Abraham Mow's two-run double off the left field screen scored Ray Scala and Frankie Jezioro to put The Rock in front 2-0.

Ben Briggs in the Slippery Rock seventh increased it to 3-0.
However, Pitt-Johnstown answered with four in the bottom of the seventh for the walk-off victory. The Mountain cats loaded the bases and got a two-run double

from
Asher Corl that plated
Zach Zinn and
Jack Shirk to cut it to 3-2. Then, with two outs and runners on second and third, McKeever singled up the middle scoring both
Tyler Smith and
Scott Lucas to give Pitt-Johnstown the win.
Corl went 3-for-3 with a double and two RBI, and McKeever drove in the two game-winning runs with his base hit to lead the Mountain Cats.
Briggs picked up the win and improved to 3-0 after allowing one run on one hit in 1 1/3 innings in relief of Heid. Heid tossed the first 5 2/3 innings and gave up a pair of runs on nine hits. He also struck out 10 and walked five.
Daugherty took the loss for The Rock. Daugherty held the Mountain Cats to just two hits over the first six innings, but surrendered four runs on four Pitt-Johnstown hits in the seventh.
Cain homered, Mow drove in two, while Jon Kozarian and Jezioro each had two hits for Slippery Rock.
In game two, Pitt-Jumped out to 2-0 with a pair of runs in the second. Smith scored on a wild pitch and McKeever drove in a run with a base hit.
The Rock tied it in the top of the third, but
Scott Thompson led off the bottom of the third with a triple and scored on Corl's sacrifice fly to give the lead back to the Mountain Cats.
Pitt-Johnstown made it 4-2 in the fourth when
Dylan Conrad doubled, moved to third on a groundout, and scored on another wild pitch.
The Mountain Cats broke it open with five more in the fifth, highlighted by
Tyler Treese's two-run double and McKeever's two-run single up the middle.
McKeever finished 2-for-3 with three RBI, while Treese tripled, singled and drove in two for the Mountain Cats. Conrad also had two hits for Pitt-Johnstown.
Roxby pitched the first six innings and held Slippery Rock to two runs (1 earned) on four hits, while fanning five and walking four. Roxby evened his record at 3-3.
After being swept, The Rock fell to 12-17 overall and 3-11 in the PSAC West.
Pitt-Johnstown travels to Slippery Rock to complete the four-game PSAC series on Sunday at noon in Butler, Pa., before opening a conference series against Gannon on Friday at 1 p.m. at Point Stadium.
