
After suffering a 9-2 loss to Gannon in Thursday's PSAC Central Division opener at Point Stadium, Pitt-Johnstown took advantage of a sixth inning bases loaded wild pitch to break a tie game and give Head Coach
Todd Williams his 499
th career victory with a 3-2 win in the nightcap. The Mountain Cats are now 20-14 overall and 8-8 in the PSAC West.
In the opener, Elijah Quiceno's sacrifice fly in the top of the first inning gave Gannon a quick 1-0 lead, but Pitt-Johnstown answered to tie it in its half of the first.
Owen McKeever led off with a double down the right field line and scored on
Dylan Broderick's base hit up the middle.
The Mountain Cats took the lead in the third on
Zach Zinn's two out double that scored
Scott Thompson, before Luke Callahan's RBI double and a run-scoring single from Trey Zeroski's gave the lead back to the Golden Knights in the fourth.

Dominic Mori's three-run triple highlighted a five-run Gannon fifth inning that increased the lead to 8-2.
The Golden Knights added one more in the sixth to set the final at 9-2.
McKeever went 2-for-3 with a double, while Broderick and Zinn accounted for the two Mountain Cat RBI.
Dylan Heid took the loss and fell to 5-3 after giving up six runs on eight hits over the first 4 1/3 innings.
Devan Judy tossed a complete-game and held Pitt-Johnstown tow two runs on six hits to improve to 6-0.
Mori drove in three and Quiceno and Callahan each had two RBI to lead Gannon.
In game two, Gannon jumped out to a 2-0 first inning lead, before the Mountain Cats evened it with two run in the bottom of the first.
Tyler Treese's fielder's choice scored McKeever from third, and Zinn scored three batters later on a Gannon throwing error.
It stayed that way until the bottom of the sixth. Pitt-Johnstown loaded the bases with no outs and scored the eventual game-winner when
Tyler Smith struck out, but the pitch went to the back stop allowing Thompson to score from third.
Braxton Roxby went out and pitched a perfect seventh inning to record the complete-game and raise his record to 4-3. Roxby allowed the two first inning runs, then held the Golden Knights scoreless the reset of the way. Roxby gave up just two hits, a double in the first inning and single in the fourth, while striking out nine and walking two.
Treese had the Mountain Cats' lone RBI, while
Jack Shirk,
Lennox Pugh,
Dylan Kerstetter, and Broderick accounted for the four Pitt-Johnstown hits.
Gannon slipped to 23-11 overall and 13-5 in the PSAC West.
Pitt-Johnstown is scheduled to travel to Erie on Friday complete the four-game PSAC series with the Golden Knights, before going to Seton Hill for a doubleheader on April 26 to open a four-game home-and-home conference series.
