
Pitt-Johnstown banged out 12 hits, including three from
Olivia Porter, and got a complete-game from
Kristen Coffay to open Sunday's PSAC Central doubleheader at V.E. Erickson Complex with a 7-2 victory over Bloomsburg. The Huskies came back with a 3-0 win in the nightcap to earn the split. The Mountain Cats are now 13-11 overall and 5-3 in conference-play.
In game one, three straight hits by
Ashley Shor,
Morgan Cannin, and Porter loaded the bases to start the Pitt-Johnstown half of the third inning, and
Kristie Radvan came through with a two-run double off the right center field fence to give the Mountain Cats a 2-0 lead.
Pitt-Johnstown loaded the bases again in the fourth and added two more runs. Porter's single through the left side chased home
Ali Belgiovane, and
Jade Stubblefield's sacrifice fly scored Shor.

Two-out RBI singles from Erin DelPierre and Kelsey Impink in the fifth cut Bloomsburg's deficit in half, but the Mountain Cats tacked on three more in the sixth. Cannin scored on a Huskies' throwing error, and Porter scored on a wild pitch to increase it to 6-2, before
Bree Ginther's RBI double to the gap in right-center set the final at7-2.
Coffay got the complete-game win in the circle for the Mountain Cats and raised her record to 6-5. Coffay allowed two earned runs on 10 hits.
Porter went 3-for-3 with an RBI and a run, while Cannin and Belgiovane each had two hits for Pitt-Johnstown. The Mountain Cats also got hits and an RBI from Stubblefield and Ginther.
Danielle Barnes and Marissa Shelhamer each collected two hits for the Huskies.
Abby Wild suffered the loss for Bloomsburg after surrendering seven runs on 11 hits over the first five-plus innings.
In game two, Bloomsburg opened the scoring with two runs in the third. Alexa Erney led off with a solo home run to right center. Barnes followed with a double and scored on DelPierre's single to center.
The Huskies made it 3-0 with an unearned run on Shelhamer's sacrifice fly in the top of the fifth, and Tara Baney held Pitt-Johnstown scoreless the rest of the way.
Baney allowed just three hits and struck out five in the complete-game shutout.
Radvan had two hits and
Taylor Mendicino had Pitt-Johnstown's other hit.
Alyssa Hileman pitched the first five innings for the Mountain Cats and surrendered three runs on seven hits.
Ashley Pagliei gave up two hits and held the Huskies off the scoreboard over the final two innings.
With the split, Bloomsburg is now 16-13 overall and 5-3 in the PSAC Central Division.
Pitt-Johnstown will host a non-conference doubleheader against Salem (WV) University on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at V.E. Erickson Complex, before hosting PSAC central doubleheaders against Indiana (PA) on Friday and Lock Haven on Saturday.
