Alex Kochey's first career goal in the 60
th minute knotted it at one and helped the Pitt-Johnstown men's soccer team earn a 1-1 double overtime draw in Saturday's 2019 PSAC-opener at California (PA). The Mountain Cats are now 1-4-1 overall and 0-0-1 in conference-play.
The Vulcans opened the scoring in the 29
th minute after Marcus Garcia Jr.'s blast from midfield found the back of the net behind Pitt-Johnstown goalkeeper
Jonathan Reboton.
It stayed that way until the 60
th minute when Kochey took a deflection off of
Josh Briscoe's shot and scored to knot at one.

Neither team was able to score over the final 30 minutes of regulation and two 10-minute overtime periods.
Reboton and
Sage Parsley shared time in goal and combined to see 20 shots from California (PA) and make five saves, while Vulcan's goalkeeper Joseph Valeriano only faced five Mountain Cats shots and was forced to make two saves.
With the draw, the Vulcans are now 1-3-1 overall and 0-0-1 in the PSAC.
The Mountain Cats return home to host a PSAC match against Mercyhurst on Saturday at noon at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field, before visiting Seton Hill for another conference match on October 9.
