The second-ranked Pitt-Johnstown wrestlers got a fall from Jacob Burgette (157 lbs.) and a technical fall win from No. 4 Connor Craig (184 lbs.) to claw back from an early six-point deficit to defeat No. 8 Upper Iowa University, 25-15, in Saturday morning's Consolation Semifinals at the NWCA National Duals in Louisville, KY.
 
The Mountain Cats, 13-3 on the year, will wrestle No. 3 Notre Dame (OH) College for fifth-place at 1 p.m.
 
The Mountain Cats got a 9-2 decision by fifth-ranked Brendan Howard to open the match, but Upper Iowa responded with a 6-3 win at 133 lbs. and a fall by Donny Schmit at 4:10 over No. 8 Jacob Ealy at 141 lbs. to take the Peacocks a 9-3 advantage.
 
Pitt-Johnstown regained the lead with top-ranked Chris Eddins' 7-5 decision win at 149 lbs., and Jacob Burgette's fall over Mac Spotts at 2:32 of the opening period.
 
Now with a three-point lead, the Mountain Cats got back-to-back major decision victories from fourth-ranked Devin Austin at 165 lbs. and No. 5 Brock Biddle at 174 lbs., before fourth-ranked Connor Craig (184 lbs.) scored a 16-0 technical fall win at 6:06 over #10 Dalton Hahn to increase the lead to 25-9 and put the match out of reach.
 
Upper Iowa won the final two bouts by decision to set the final at 25-15.
