Dylan Heid allowed just one run and struck out eight in game one, and
Braxton Roxby fanned 10 over the first five innings of the nightcap to help the Pitt-Johnstown baseball team improve to 6-0 with a 3-1 and 9-3 sweep over Fairmont State (WV) University, Saturday afternoon in Clarksburg, W.Va.

In the opener, Heid tossed the first 5.1 innings and held the Fighting Falcons to one run on two hits. He also struck out eight and walked four.Â
Ben Briggs didn't allow a hit over the final 1.2 innings to pick-up his second save of the year.

Dylan Broderick went 2-for-2 with a triple and an RBI, while
Isaiah Kearns double and drove in a run for Pitt-Johnstown.Â
Tyler Smith collected a pair of hits, and
Mario Disso accounted for the Mountain Cats' third RBI.

In game two, Pitt-Johnstown erased an early two-run deficit with six runs in the third inning to complete the sweep with the 9-3 victory.

Roxby struck out 10 and walked two in five innings. He surrendered just one hit, a two-run homer to Zach Musgrove in the bottom of the first.Â
Matt Mosholder allowed one run in two innings of relief of Roxby.

Tyler Treese doubled and had two RBI, and
Owen McKeever went 2-for-4 with an RBI. The Mountain Cats also got two hits and an RBI from
Asher Corl, while
Lennox Pugh and Kearns each drove in a run.

Pitt-Johnstown wraps-up the four-game series against Fairmont State (WV) on Sunday, then travels to Concord (WV) for a doubleheader on February 24.
