Isaiah Kearns collected five hits and drove in five in the doubleheader, and pitched six innings in the opener, allowing just one run on a pair of hits to lead the Mountain Cats to an 8-5 and 9-2 sweep over Fairmont State (WV) College, Sunday afternoon in Clarksburg, W.Va. Pitt-Johnstown made it two straight four-game sweeps to start the year and improved to 8-0.
In game one, Kearns (2-0) tossed the first six innings and gave up one run two hits, while fanning eight and walking two.

Pitt-Johnstown broke open a scoreless game with six runs in the bottom of the third and went on to the 8-5 win.
Kearns went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI, and
Tyler Smith drove in four. Pitt-Johnstown also got two hits apiece from
Owen McKeever and
Jake Ansell.
In the nightcap, Kearns added two more hits, including a homer and three more RBI. McKeever was 2-for-3 with a double and four RBI, and
Lennox Pugh singled and doubled for the Mountain Cats.
Joel Colledge scattered six hits and allowed just one run over the first five innings to improve to 2-0. Colledge also struck out seven and walked one.
With the losses, Fairmont Stage fell to 3-5.
Pitt-Johnstown travels to Concord (WV) for a doubleheader on February 24, then to the University of Charleston for a three-game series on February 29 and March 1.
