
Pitt-Johnstown completed a four-game, season-opening sweep over West Virginia Wesleyan in Myrtle Beach, SC with 3-1 and 9-4 wins on Saturday.
Isaiah Kearns fanned in four innings and drove in a run in the opener, and
Owen McKeever had three hits and four RBI in game two.
In game one, the Mountain Cats scored a pair of runs in each of the first two innings, then added an insurance run in the sixth to hold off the Bobcats, 3-1.
Kearns got his first start as a Mountain Cats and allowed just one run on two hits, while striking out eight over the first four innings.
Matt Mosholder tossed the final innings and gave up just two hits to earn the save.

Wil Fetrow added a double for Pitt-Johnstown.
In the nightcap, Pitt-Johnstown built a 7-0 lead after three innings and cruised to the 9-4 win to complete the series sweep.
McKeever went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and four RBI, and
Lennox Pugh had two hits and an RBI for Pitt-Johnstown. Fetrow doubled and drove in three, and
Colin Pasone added an RBI.
Joel College picked up the win after surrendering just a pair of runs on five hits in four innings. Colledge also struck out two.
Noah Gillette pitched the final three innings and gave up two runs on five hits.
Pitt-Johnstown travels to Mooresville, NC for a four-game series against Fairmont State (WV) next weekend, then to Concord (WV) for a doubleheader on February 24.
