Alexzander Toto had a goal and an assist, but Slippery Rock scored five second half goals to break 1-1 halftime tie on its way to a 6-2 PSAC Western Division victory over the Mountain Cat men's soccer team, Wednesday afternoon at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field. Pitt-Johnstown is now 1-8-1 overall and 0-5-0 in conference-play.
The Mountain Cats took a 1-0 lead in the 31
st minute when
David Fry scored off of assists from Toto and
Chase Kuhn, but Slippery Rock knotted it at one eight minutes later on Ramses Minaya's first of two goals.
The Rock came out and scored three unanswered goals in the first 18 minutes of the second half to build a 4-2 advantage. Alejandro Fernandez made it 2-1 two minutes in the second half, before Slippery Rock added goals from Minaya and Harry Griffin in the 53
rd and 63
rd minutes.
Adan Cabrera-Perez set up Toto's goal in the 69
th minute that cut Pitt-Johnstown's deficit to 4-2, but the Rock tacked on goals in the 77
th and 80
th minutes to set the final at 6-2.

PJ Derksen faced 18 Slippery Rock shots, made a pair of saves, and allowed six goals.
Derek Hoffman saw 15 Pitt-Johnstown shots, made two saves, and surrendered two goals in net for Slippery Rock, which improved to 5-4-1 overall and 2-1-0 in the PSAC West.
Pitt-Johnstown will host a non-conference match against Roberts Wesleyan (NY) on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field, before hosting a PSAC West match against Mercyhurst on October 23 at 2:30 p.m.
