Roberts Wesleyan Scores Two Late Goals to Down Mountain Cats, 3-1

Berhanu_Rafael.JPGRoberts Wesleyan (NY) College broke a one-all tie with a pair of goals in the final 18 minutes to deal the Mountain Cat men's soccer team a 3-1 non-conference loss, Tuesday afternoon at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer field.  Rafael Berhanu netted the goal for Pitt-Johnstown, which slipped to 1-9-1 on the season.
 
After a scoreless opening half, Dylan Ruiz gave Roberts Wesleyan a 1-0 lead in the 61st minute, before the Mountain Cats answered four minutes to knot it on Berhanu's first career goal.
 
However, the Redhawks regained the lead in the 72nd minute on an Aaryn Massy goal, before Ruiz added his second goal of the afternoon in the final minute of play to set the final at 3-1.
 
PJ Derksen suffered the loss in goal for the Mountain Cats after facing 22 shots, making seven saves, and allowing all three goals.
 
Roberts Wesleyan's Caleb DaSilva saw 15 Pitt-Johnstown shots, made five saves, and allowed one goal to help the Redhawks improve to 6-4-1.
 
Pitt-Johnstown will celebrate Senior Day with a PSAC West match against Mercyhurst on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field, before hosting nationally-ranked Gannon in the 2021 home finale on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m.
