Pitt-Johnstown will host a pair of PSAC Western Division volleyball matches this weekend. The Mountain Cats will take on Indiana (PA) on Friday at 7 p.m. in the Sports Center, before wrapping up the weekend with a conference match against Clarion on Saturday at 1 p.m.

Coach Morgan Mammosser, suffered a four set non-conference loss at Shippensburg on Tuesday.
Grace Miller had a dozen kills, and
Cassie Pascarella and
Lualis Alvarado each had 10 kills. Pitt-Johnstown also splits a pair of conference matches last weekend. The Mountain Cats fell in five sets to California (PA) on Friday, then rebounded to sweep Seton Hill on Saturday.
First-year
Coach Julie Torbett's Indiana (PA) Crimson Hawks, slipped to 11-11 overall and 2-5 in the PSAC West following Tuesday's 3-0 home loss to Clarion.
Nicole Peterson's eight kills and
Brooke Little's five kills led IUP against the Golden Eagles.
The Mountain Cats hold an 8-4 advantage in the series that dates back to 2007, including wins in the last three meetings. In 2019, Pitt-Johnstown defeated IUP, 3-1, on Oct. 15 behind 11 kills each from
Lauren Gechter and
Noelle Carota. The Mountain Cats completed the season sweep with a 3-1 win on Nov. 12. Carota had 16 kills for Pitt-Johnstown, while
Gia Cannavino led IUP with 13 kills.
Coach Jennifer Herron's (15
th-year) Clarion Golden Eagles made it three straight wins and improved to 13-6 overall and 5-2 in the PSAC West after a three-set sweep at Indiana (PA) on Tuesday.
Julia Piccolino had 18 kills and
Cassidy Snider added 15 kills for the Golden Eagles.
Clarion holds a 7-2 advantage in the series that dates back to 2011. The Golden Eagles have won the last two meetings, including a four-set victory in Clarion on Nov. 1, 2019.
Julia Holden had 16 kills and
Holly Pittman had 14 kills for Clarion.
Noelle Carota's 17 kills and
Tatiana Pitcher's 15 kills led the Mountain Cats.
After this weekend's matches, Pitt-Johnstown will host a PSAC West match against Slippery Rock next Friday at 7 p.m. in the Sports Center, before traveling to Mercyhurst for a conference match next Saturday.
