Wrestlers Ranked 21st in NWCA Preseason Rankings; Three Mountain Cats Individually Ranked

Siszka, MattEaly, JacobHead Coach Pat Pecora's Pitt-Johnstown wrestlers have been ranked 21st in the 2021-22 National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Preseason NCAA Division II National Poll.  Individually, three Mountain Cats are ranked, including Matt Siszka (125 lbs.), Jacob Ealy (149 lbs.), and Brock Biddle (174 lbs.).

Reigning NCAA Division II National Champion St. Cloud State tops the team poll with 81 points, with last year's national runners-up, Nebraska-Kearney, hot on the Huskies' heels with 80 points. Lindenwood takes the third place spot with 78 points, while Central Oklahoma (74 points) and West Liberty (69 points) round out the top five.

Siszka, a 2021 NCAA National Qualifier is ranked 11th at 125 lbs., 2020 National Qualifier and 2021 All-American Jacob Ealy is seventh at 149 lbs., and three-time All-American Brock Biddle is sixth Biddle, Brockat 174 lbs.


Nov. 1 is the first day of competition for the upcoming season, with the first regular season edition of the coaches poll slated for Dec. 3.

Pitt-Johnstown will open the 2021-22 season at the Manheim Duals on November 3, before opening the home schedule with a PSAC Match against East Stroudsburg on November 18, and a non-conference match against No. 7 Ashland (OH) on December 10.
