


In a steady rain, Clarion scored the lone goal of the second half to break a 2-2 halftime tie and deal the Pitt-Johnstown women's soccer team a, 3-2, Senior Day loss, Saturday afternoon Richland High School. The Mountain Cats slipped to 3-9-1 overall and 2-8-1 in the PSAC Western Division.

Clarion jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead on Madison Spitko's goal just over two minutes into the match, but
Morgan Kost answered with a goal tied it for the Mountain four minutes later.
The Golden Eagles regained the lead in the 20
th minute when Alayna Wicker finished Kylee Cross' assist the beat Pitt-Johnstown goalkeeper
Megan Giesey to the bottom right corner of the net.
Kost's second goal of the day of the off of assists from
Maura Carey and
Haley Neidig knotted it at two with 15 minutes remaining in the opening half.
Wicker's second goal of the match off of Spitkoa's assist gave Clarion a 3-2 advantage six minutes into the second half and proved to be the match-winner.
Geisey saw eight Golden Eagles' shots, made three saves, and allowed all three goals, while Clarion goalkeeper Alexandra Velez faced 13 Mountain Cats' shots, made three saves, and surrendered two goals.
Clarion improved to 4-6-1 overall and 4-6-1 in the PSAC Wsest.
The Mountain Cats travel to Seton Hill for a conference match on Wednesday, before hosting Mercyhurst on Saturday at noon at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field.
