Abby Jackson's goal with under 13 minutes remaining broke a 1-1 all tie and lifted the Pitt-Johnstown women's soccer team to a 2-1 PSAC Western Division victory over Indiana (PA) in Wednesday's 2021 home finale at Richland High School. The Mountain Cats improved to 5-10- overall and 4-9-1 in the PSAC West.
Pitt-Johnstown jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the seventh minute when
Emily Esser set up
Morgan Kost's goal.
It stayed that way until the Crimson Hawks knotted it on a Hannah Scardina penalty kick goal at 76:06.
However, just over a minute later, Jackson beat IUP goalkeeper Samantha Gildner with the eventual match-winner.

Pitt-Johnstown's
Sachi Negri picked-up the win in net after facing 18 shots, making five saves, and allowing just one goal.
Gildner took the loss for the Crimson Hawks. Gildner saw 14 Mountain Cat shots, made six saves, but allowed both goals.
With the loss, IUP dropped to 7-6-1 overall and 6-6-1 in the PSAC West.
Pitt-Johnstown will close out the 2021 season with PSAC Western Division matches at California (PA) on Saturday and at Edinboro on November 3.
