Men's Soccer Suffers Home Loss to Seton Hill

Seton Hill extended a two goal, first half lead to hold off the Mountain Cats in Wednesday's PSAC Western Division contest at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field. With the loss Pitt-Johnstown moves to 1-6-1 and 0-3-0 in conference play.
 
Seton Hill's Fletcher Amos scored in the seventh minute of the game off of a cross from Elias Mobrin. The Griffins then added to their lead in the eleventh minute. This goal was scored by Elias Vangen with the assist being credited to Brice Gandhi. 
 
The second half saw a cluster of yellow cards be distributed. The first occurred in the 57th minute of the game and was given to Seton Hill's Wilfred Munn. Then in the 58th minute Pitt-Johnstown freshman David Fry received a the second caution of the game. In the 61st minute Seton Hill got their second card when the referee gave Sebastian Acuna a yellow. Seton Hill closed the game with a 71st minute goal scored by Anton Dupont Linden. 
 
Sage Parsley got the start in goal for the Mountain Cats and played the first 76 minutes of the contest. In that time Parsley made four saves and allowed three goals. One of Parsley's saves was on a 72nd minute Brice Gandhi penalty shot. PJ Derksen was subbed in for Parsley in the 76th minute. Derksen saved one shot. 
 
For the Griffins, Bobby White played the full 90 minutes in goal. He faced 16 shots and made 4 saves. 
 
Pitt-Johnstown plays its next game at conference opponent Gannon University on Saturday, October 9th. The Mountain Cats return home on Wednesday, October 13th to face Slippery Rock in a PSAC conference match.
