The Pitt-Johnstown women's basketball team will host a non-conference game against Bloomsburg University on Saturday afternoon, before breaking for the Thanksgiving holiday.  Tip-off is scheduled for 3 p.m. in the Sports Center.

Pitt-Johnstown, under ninth-year Head Coach Mike Drahos, slipped to 1-2 to begin the season after a 61-55 loss to West Virginia State in Wednesday's home-opener.  Ashley Norling's game-highs of 16 points and nine rebounds paced four double-digit Mountain Cat scorers.  Makalyn Clapper scored 11 points and grabbed six rebounds, while Cassidy Crawford and Olivia Fasick each chipped-in 10 points for Pitt-Johnstown.  The Mountain Cats also split a pair of games at last weekend's Frostburg State (MD) Jim Crawley Conference Challenge.

Head Coach Alison Tagliaferri's Bloomsburg Huskies also come in at 1-2 after splitting two games to tip-off the season at last weekend's West Chester Carol Eckman Conference Challenge and suffering a 53-45 setback at Holy Family on Wednesday.  Meghan Corridoni's 17 points and nine rebounds led the Huskies, while Emma Gochnauer scored 10 points, and Emma Saxton tallied seven points, eight rebounds, and five assists.

Since 2005, Pitt-Johnstown and Bloomsburg have met nine times and the Mountain Cats hold a slight 5-4 advantage.  The teams last met on Dec. 7, 2019 in Bloomsburg where the Huskies came away with a 64-51 victory.  Alli McGrath had 23 points, and Gabrielle Smith had nine points and six rebounds to lead Pitt-Johnstown.  Megan Brandt's 23-points and game-high eight rebounds, and Emma Saxton's 17 points paced four Huskies who scored in double figures.

Pitt-Johnstown will break for the Thanksgiving holiday, before traveling to Glenville State for a non-conference game on Nov. 29 and to West Chester and Millersville on Dec. 3 and Dec. 4 to begin PSAC Crossover-play.  Pitt-Johnstown will play its next home game on Dec. 14 when Shepherd (WV) visits the Sports Center for a PSAC Crossover doubleheader with the men's team.  The women will tip-off at 5:30 p.m., before the men's game at 7:30 p.m.
