Dylan Heid struck out 11 in a two-hit complete-game shutout to lead Pitt-Johnstown to a 14-0 victory over Indiana (PA) to open a PSAC Western Division doubleheader, Friday afternoon at Sargent Stadium at the Point. In the nightcap,
Owen McKeever had three RBI in a 10-run Mountain Cat second inning to help Pitt-Johnstown improve to 11-7 overall and 7-3 in the PSAC West and complete the sweep with a 10-6 win.
In game one, Pitt-Johnstown ran out to a 7-0 third inning lead and cruised to the 14-0 victory.
Lennox Pugh's two-out base hit to center chased home
Tyler Smith from second to give the Mountain Cats an early 1-0 lead.
Pitt-Johnstown added two more in the second.
Jake Ansell drew a bases loaded walk and Smith reached on a fielder's choice that allowed McKeever to score from third.

Chase Vargo in the Pitt-Johnstown fifth made it 8-0, before the Mountain Cats added six more in the sixth.
Ansell went 3-for-4 with a double, three RBI, and two runs, while Pugh had three hits, drove in a run and scored two to lead Pitt-Johnstown. Smith had two hits, including a double and two RBI, and
Colin Pasone Glumac, Vargo, and McKeever all had a hit and drove in a run.
Heid, this week's PSAC West Pitcher of the Week for the third time this season, allowed just two hits, one in the second inning and one in the third in the complete-game shutout. Heid, who improved to 5-0, struck out 11 and walked one.
In game two, Pitt-Johnstown erased a 3-0 deficit with 10 runs in the second inning, then went on to the 10-6 victory.

Joel Colledge put the Crimson Hawks on top, and back-to-back, two-out RBI singles from Jake Cherry and Harrison Pontoli in the IUP second made it 3-0.
The Mountain Cats answered with 10 runs on eight hits in the bottom of the second. McKeever had two hits in the inning and drove in three, while
Matt Reese, Glumac, Ansell, and Pugh had RBI singles, and
Tyler Treese added a sacrifice fly.
The Crimson Hawks got a run back in the top of the third, and Caden DeCroos RBI groundout in the fifth, cut it to 10-5.
Nick Hess' RBI triple in the IUP sixth made it 10-6, but Mountain Cat reliever
Austin Hammerle was able to get out of the inning and pitch a scoreless seventh to preserve the win.
Ansell had two hits, including a double and an RBI, and Glumac had two hits and drove in a run for the Mountain Cats. Reese went 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs, while McKeever had a hit and drove in three.
Colledge evened his record at 2-2 after allowing four runs on nine hits over the first four innings. Colledge struck out three and didn't give up a walk. Hammerle tossed the final 1.2 innings and didn't allow a hit or a run.
With the losses, IUP fell to 1-17 overall and 0-10 in the PSAC West.
The Mountain Cats finish the conference series in Indiana on Saturday, before traveling to California (PA) on Friday to start a four-game home-and-home conference series.
