
Lydia Robling placed second in the 800-Meter Run, and
Cassi Smith was the runner-up in the 400-Meter Hurdles to pace the Mountain Cat women's track and field team at Saturday's 2021 Pitt-Johnstown Last Chance Meet at Windber Stadium. Saturday marked the first time in several decades Pitt-Johnstown played host to a men's and women's outdoor track and field meet.
Along with Pitt-Johnstown, California (PA), Carlow, Clarion, Edinboro, Point Park, and Slippery Rock competed in Saturday's Last Chance Meet.
Robling was second in the 800-Meter Run at 2:21.21, while Smith second in the 400-Meter Hurdles at 1:07.24.
The Pitt-Johnstown 4x400-Meter Relay Team of
Bridget Heh, Smith, Robling, and
Samantha Kluz also placed second with a time of 4:19.75.
In the field events,
Brooke Leithner placed third in the Long Jump (5.02 Meters) and sixth in the Triple Jump (10.59 Meters).
The Mountain Cats also got a fourth-place showing from
Janeila Francis in the High Jump (1.58 Meters), a tie for fourth in the Pole Vault from
Kate Yahner at 2.95 Meters, and an eight-place from
Marin Hespenheide in the Lopng Jump (3.68 Meters).
Pitt-Johnstown will close out the 2021 season with the PSAC Championships from May 6-8 at Shippensburg University.
