After nine straight road matches to begin the season, first-year
Coach Morgan Mammosser's Pitt-Johnstown volleyball squad will make its 2021 home debut on Saturday with a PSAC Western Division match against Mercyhurst. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. in the Sports Center.

Pitt-Johnstown has won eight straight matches after a season-opening loss and is 8-1 overall and 1-0 in the PSAC West. The Mountain Cats began conference-play with a five-set win at Slippery Rock on Tuesday behind 17 kills from
Grace Miller, 16 kills from
Lualis Alvarado, and 14 kills from
Cassie Pascarella.

Mercyhurst, under 18
th-year
Coach Ryan Patton, was 4-7 overall prior to Friday's PSAC-opener against Slippery Rock. The Lakers swept West Virginia Wesleyan, but suffered losses to Davis & Elkins (WV) and Shepherd (WV) last weekend.

Pitt-Johnstown holds a 6-2 advantage in the all-time series that dates back to the 2011 season. The Mountain Cats and Lakers last met on November 7, 2019 and Pitt-Johnstown came away with a 3-2 victory in the Sports Center.

Pitt-Johnstown travels to PSAC matches at Gannon and Edinboro on Friday and Saturday, before hosting conference matches against California (PA) and Seton Hill on October 8 and 9 in the Sports Center.
