     The Pitt-Johnstown men's and women's basketball teams will play their rescheduled PSAC Western Division games against Edinboro University, Monday afternoon in the Sports Center. The women will tip-off against the Fighting Scots at 1 p.m. with the men's game scheduled for 3 p.m.

     These games were originally scheduled for January 10, but postponed due to COVID-19 protocols.

     Head Coach Mike Drahos' Pitt-Johnstown squad slipped to 4-9 overall and 2-5 in the PSAC West following Saturday's 81-75 overtime loss to Clarion in the Sports Center. The Mountain Cats battled back from a double-digit deficit behind
Peyton Alazaus' game-high 20 points (6 3-pointers) and six rebounds, before falling in the extra period.Â
Makalyn Clapper tallied 13 points and a game-high nine rebounds, while
Ashley Norling and
Hayden Taylor had 13 and 10 points, respectively, for Pitt-Johnstown. Â
     Edinboro, 6-3 overall and 4-2 in the PSAC West under
Head Coach Callie Wheeler (3
rd season), earned a 62-53 home victory over California (PA) on Saturday. The Fighting Scots were led by
Rana Elhusseini's game-high 24 points and seven rebounds. Edinboro also got 17 points and eight rebounds from
Haley Sims, and nine points and a game-high 10 rebounds from
Bella Burrelli.
     Pitt-Johnstown and Edinboro split a pair of games during the 2019-20 season, but the Fighting Scots still hold a 14-3 advantage in the series since the 2004-05 season. After the Fighting Scots earned an 86-55 win in Edinboro on Jan. 8, 2020, the Mountain Cats answered with a 78-71 overtime victory in the Sports Center one month later.Â
Gabrielle Smith's game-highs of 22 points and 10 rebounds and
Alli McGrath's 16 points and nine rebounds led Pitt-Johnstown. Edinboro got 19 points got
Michaela Barnes to pace four Fighting Scots who scored in double figures.

Head Coach Bob Rukavina's (33
rd-year), made it six wins in its last seven outings and improved to 10-3 overall and 6-1 in the PSAC West after a 78-72 win over Clarion, Saturday afternoon in the Sports Center.Â
Fred Mulbah's 21 points and five rebounds led four Mountain Cat double figure scorers.Â
John Paul Kromka had 18 points, 10 rebounds, and three assists, while
Joe Batt had 18 points and six rebounds, and
Ryan Smith collected 11 points and a career-high 11 rebounds.
       Nationally, Pitt-Johnstown leads the PSAC and ranks fifth in NCAA Division II in field goal percentage (51.8%) and 14
th in 3-point field goal percentage (40.3%).Â
Mulbah paces the PSAC and ranks fourth nationally in total assists and fifth in assists per game, while
Kromka leads the PSAC and ranks ninth in both field goal percentage and total blocks, and 12
th in blocks per game.

Kromka enters the game ranked 23
rd on the Pitt-Johnstown All-Time Scoring List with 1,138 points and 12
th on the All-Time Rebounding List, with 595 rebounds.
Mulbah is currently fifth on the Mountain Cat All-Time Assists List with 446 assists.

Head Coach Pat Cleary's Edinboro Fighting Scots come in at 5-6 overall and 3-3 in the PSAC West following Saturday's 89-84 home loss to California (PA).Â
Deontae Robertson's 23 points and
Jaryn Simpson's 20 points led the way for the Fighting Scots.
       Nationally for the Fighting Scots,
Dominique Keyes leads the PSAC and ranks 13th in rebounds per game. Keyes also ranks 13th nationally in field goal percentage, 21st in total rebounds, and 37th in total blocks. As a team, Edinboro ranks second in the country in rebounding.
       The Mountain Cats and Fighting Scots have met 35 times since the 1976-77 season, and Edinboro holds a 23-12 advantage. Pitt-Johnstown has won three of the last four meetings, including sweeping the season series in 2019-20. After holding on for an 86-83 win in Edinboro on Jan. 8, 2020, the Mountain Cats earned a 98-73 win in the Sports Center on Feb. 8, 2020 behind
Josh Wise's game-high 23 points and
Batt's 20 points.Â
Trey Staunch led three Fighting Scots who scored in double figures with 18 points.

The Pitt-Johnstown men and women travel to a PSAC Crossover game at Mansfield on Wednesday, before hosting a PSAC West doubleheader against Seton Hill for Alumni Weekend on Saturday at 5 and 7 p.m. in the Sports Center.
