Morgan Kost got Pitt-Johnstown on the scoreboard in the 24th minute, but neither team scored again as the Mountain Cats and Edinboro battled to a 1-1 draw in PSAC Western Division play on Saturday. The women's soccer team moved to 4-4-3 on the season and 4-3-2 in conference play.

Edinboro's Megan Malits opened up scoring in the seventh minute to give the Fighting Scots a 1-0 lead. The Mountain Cats responded later in the first half, as Kost tied the game at one apiece with an assist from Sophia Lamesta.

Pitt-Johnstown goalkeeper Sachi Negri faced 14 shots and Edinboro's Kaylee Lauriel faced eight, but neither allowed a second-half goal to set the final score at 1-1. Both goalies made five saves.

With the draw, Edinboro moved to 1-6-3 overall and 1-5-3 in conference play.

The Pitt-Johnstown women's soccer team will travel to California, PA next Saturday to take on California (PA) at 3:30 p.m.
