Men's Soccer bested by Seton Hill

Ulrich_Evan.jpgSeton Hill's Joseph Spencer scored twice in the second half to lift the Griffins to a 3-1 PSAC West victory over Pitt-Johnstown on Wednesday afternoon at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field. The Mountain Cats fell to 1-9-1 (0-6 PSAC West).

Anton Dupont Linden put the Griffins on the board first with a goal early in the seventh minute. Archie Lock was credited with the first of his two assists.

Senior Evan Ulrich tallied the equalizer for the Mountain Cats with just 28 seconds to play before halftime on a header off of a corner kick from Adan Cabrera-Perez, who picked up the assist.

In the 61st minute, Spencer gave the Griffins the lead for good by finishing off a corner kick from Lock. The freshman added an insurance goal in the 73rd minute that was assisted by Luc Holden and George Demetriades. Seton Hill, which improved to 6-7-1 (4-1-1 in conference), racked up 23 shots, nine were on goal.

PJ Derksen made six saves for Pitt-Johnstown. Cabrera-Perez had three shots, two of them coming on goal.

Pitt-Johnstown hosts Slippery Rock on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
