After three consecutive matches on the road, the Pitt-Johnstown volleyball team will be back in action in the Sports Center on Saturday to host a PSAC Western Division match against Gannon.
Pitt-Johnstown, under
Interim Head Coach Justin Haupt, fell to 7-15 overall and 1-8 in the PSAC West following Tuesday's five-set, loss at California (PA).
Abi Leitner collected a career-high 19 kills while, while
Lualis Alvarado had 13 kills, and
Natalie Lippincott chipped-in 10 kills to lead the Mountain Cats.
Gannon, 13-5 overall and 7-1 in the PSAC West under 16
th-year
Head Coach Matt Darling, bounced back from a three-set loss to Clarion on Oct. 7 by sweeping IUP last Saturday.
Madde Blake had a match-high 20 kills and
Sam Deinek added 13 kills for the Golden Knights.
In the last meeting between the two teams, Pitt-Johnstown traveled to Erie on Sept. 17 and suffered a three-set loss.
Leitner and
Lippincott each had seven kills to lead the Mountain Cats, while
Blake collected a match-high 14 kills and
Deinek added 12 kills for the Golden Knights.
Pitt-Johnstown will host a non-conference match against Point Park on Tuesday at 5 p.m. in the Sports Center, before traveling to PSAC West matches at Slippery Rock on Friday and Seton Hill next Saturday.
