




Pitt-Johnstown's Sophia Lamesta tied the match at one apiece in the 83rd minute, but a last minute goal by Seton Hill's Mikayla Moyer handed the Griffins a 2-1 PSAC Western Division win over the Mountain Cats on Senior Day in Johnstown. The loss dropped the women's soccer team to 4-8-4 overall on the season, and 4-7-3 in PSAC West play.
Natalie Maver got Seton Hill on the board in the 38th minute, scoring on a penalty kick to give the Griffins a 1-0 lead. They would hold that lead until the 83rd minute, when Lamesta tied the score for Pitt-Johnstown, but Moyer's goal in the 89th minute set the final score at 2-1.
Pitt-Johnstown goalkeeper Sachi Negri faced 19 shots from the Griffins, making eight saves and allowing the pair of goals.Â
Prior to Saturday's match, Pitt-Johnstown recognized five seniors on this year's team: Alexis Demko, Mia Dirienzo, Emily Esser, Alexis Johnson, and Sachi Negri.
Seton Hill improved to 8-2-6 overall and 6-2-6 in conference play with the win.
The Pitt-Johnstown women's soccer team will travel to Indiana, PA to face Indiana University (PA) on Wednesday, October 26th at 1:00 p.m.
