The Pitt-Johnstown men's soccer returns home to host a non-conference match against Penn State-New Kensington, Tuesday afternoon at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field. Kick-off is scheduled for 4 p.m.
The Mountain Cats, 1-6-1 overall under
Head Coach Eric Kinsey, are coming off of a pair of tough PSAC Western Division setbacks. Last Wednesday, Gannon earned a 5-0 victory over the Mountain Cats at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field, before Seton Hill secured a 6-0 win in Greensburg on Saturday.
Head Coach Mark Duffield's Penn State new Kensington squad has won six straight matches and comes in at 6-2-0 following Saturday's 6-2 home win over Penn State Mont Alto.
Ethan Hutcherson had two goals for the Lions.
Pitt-Johnstown and Penn State New Kensington first met in 2018 and the Mountain Cats have won all three meetings. Last year, Pitt-Johnstown got a pair of goals from
Jacob Palange to lead the Mountain Cats to a 5-1 victory over the Lions in New Kensington on Sept. 7.
Pitt-Johnstown travels to a PSAC West match at California (PA) on Saturday, before returning home to host conference matches against Seton Hill on Oct. 12 and Slippery Rock for Senior Day on Oct. 15.
